It seems my original post stirred up a hornet's nest, which was not the intended purpose.

Back to my original question: Does anyone have a 2003 40 FDTS that can give us advice on this year/floorplan? We are going to test drive it this weekend and would like to know what owners think!

Thanks to those who responded to my original question....

Also, maybe the discussion about the tachometer should be moved to a new topic...(smile)

Miron, at my suggestion ask that Burk Morgan give you a call or possibly he might be there when you call into WRV. He is a perfect gentleman that will respond to your situation and find an answer for you. I am not at all knocking any others in WRV because I have had tremendous success with all of them, but do yourself a favor and leave a message for Burk Morgan.

Thank you

The 03 model year was the first year for the updated turning radius. Mike Glazier has the serial # when they started. It is one of the better updates. Good luck!!

Have wondered if you had decided about the '03 yet. We have an '06 and like Alpines. However, I would not be opposed to buying an '03 at all. If fact, sometimes I think that is what we should have done (don't think we need all the fancy electronics). Many people think one is just buying someone else's problems when they buy used; however, we have always had good luck with used--whether it be cars, trucks, motor homes, etc.

As for calls from WRV,when we have had issues, the repair service says WRV calls back as soon as most manufacturers and sooner than some. I have called personally several times and have had good response. I realize this is dealing with a new one, but just thought I'd share this experience.

Let us know what you decide.
