Just saw a ad for a 2006 alpine chassis for sale on ebay, said it was recovered from the factory fire. Also same person is selling a 2006 40' alpine coach?? It appears to be on a peak chassis, but a lot of things don't appear right

This chassis certainly is not for an Avalanche like the ad shows since none were being built at the time of the fire. Notice the slots in the basement floor for Smart-Bed hydraulic actuators. Looks like an Apex to me. Too early to be a Limited SE?
We were at the service center when they hauled off a chassis on a flatbed truck. Could have been this one.

One would think that a chassis that went throught a fire, or for any other reason, would be scrapped by the manufacturer . Unless the chassis is the result of an individuals insurance claim ect.

If this thing sells for anything close to the current bid it would be a gold mine full of parts. The radiator would cover the current bid.

I looked at the pictures on e-bay and if the specs are correct it is a 36ft front door chassis. Which means it is probably an SE not an APEX. For being in a fire it could be just smoke and water damage and not heat damage. Like Wayne said it could be worth quite a bit for parts.

Hello Mike:
I think the bidding has ended because I can no longer find it on e-bay.

Rats. I was thinking of making it into a dune buggy. Oh well, back to fixing the gate.

Ebay item 230083593260, Closed 2/1/07 reserves were not met. I almost bid on it but being a fulltimer I have no place to store it.
