Could someone please tell me what is the hydraulic filter brand and number for a 2007? There is no name or number on it. It is about 10" high and 5" diameter.

Kraig,

I thought the pre-emission engines used the 3-part filters for the hydraulic system. On my 09, the filter sounds like the one you describe for your 07 APEX. I got the filter at Cummins Northwest, Yakima, "HF6711".

Mine (ULSD engine, ~5/07 engine build) has a label w/the following:
Parker
927736
FA511-10/FA511-25/K-23063
This is a spin-on filter w/approx the same dimesnions you state. Could be WRV went to the spin-on as an interim adjustment prior to implementing the USLD engine mods w/coaches made in late 06?

If you have this filter setup, and are replacing the hydraulic fluid, IIWMI'd add a pair of valves to shut off the in/out to the filter so the filter could be changed w/out draining the system. Gunna be hard on my rig to change that filter w/out making a giant oil spill, or draining the hydraulic fluid first.

Mike, you are correct. It made a mess. The HF6711 was Cummin's replacement for the Parker spin-on filter.

The build date is May 07 and is a USLD engine. I am waiting for a new cooler and I am going to drain and flush the system. The filter head is almost at the top of the tank. I will be ready when I unscrew it. Why I got everything apart, it might be easier to put valves on it. There is a drain plug on the outside bottom of the tank below the filter. The problem is to screw in extension pipe to get it in the bucket. I will start with Mike's filter number, it sounds close to mine.

My filter is below the tank entirely, tho there are some lines below the filter as well, so you wouldn't drain the entire system, but you would drain the entire tank once you spin off the filter.
My tank also has a drain plug at the base, but it would drain all over the metal partition that covers the DPF if you opened it. Better to drain it by removing the filter. Better still to drain the whole system, then install extensions so that drain points will go to easy collection points. Next maintenance routine should then be, well, routine.
