2013 ACA Rolling Rally - Jump In Anytime

Alpine Coach Association Rolling Rally (Jump in Anytime!)
September 6 to October 22, 2013

Greetings fellow ACA members and other current and former Alpine Coach owners! We hope that you've heard about this years Rolling Rally (a SPOT Rally). We'll be starting in Viroqua, WI and taking 46 days to get to Fredricksburg, TX with 8 other stops along the way. For some more information, please see the ACA March 2013 Newsletter.

After the Rolling Rally we'll leave Fredricksburg, TX and head to beautiful San Antonio on Oct. 22 for an 8-day Pre-Rally to the Annual ACA Heritage Rally. The Heritage Rally is being held in New Braunfels, TX from October 30 to November 6.

This Rolling Rally will be pretty laid back, light on scheduled events and heavy on free time. Coaches can leave or join at any point, the only requirements are a spirit of adventure and a quest for fun!!!

Guests of ACA or other Alpine Club members are welcome to join us on the Rolling Rally from Viroqua, WI to Fredricksburg, TX with no non-member fees added.

  • Notes: If you plan to join us at Stoddard, WI and Pella, IA you'll need to make your own bookings.
  • For Stoddard, call the Goose Island Campground at 608-788-7018 and ask for one of the Alpine Club sites. Mary is your best contact.
  • For Pella, you may book online at Facility Details - WALLASHUCK, IA - Recreation.gov Book yourself in WOOD loop, in any site from 1 to 20 using the lowest numbers first so that we stay close together. Or call (641)828-7522.
  • Remember to use your National Parks Senior Pass for 50% off.
  • You'll pay your own camping at Viroqua and Mason City also but you must wait until you arrive, no reservations are accepted.
  • ACA will make the other six bookings from your Registration Form.

Your commitment needed by July 22 please

Hello Alpiner's, we hope you're having a fantastic summer so far!

OK, we made a mistake when we made the Registration Form for the Rolling Rally. W
e said Please Return the Form 15 days prior to joining the Rolling Rally. The bad news is that we must make commitments to the RV Parks by July 31.

On June 10 we sent out an email to all ACA club members asking for a Show Of Hands on people's intentions. We've gotten about 25 replies, some "yes" and some "no".

Thank you very much to the folks that took the time to Show Their Hands, whether it was a thumbs-up or thumbs-down. And thanks to the 6 coaches that have sent checks in so far!

What's the bottom line?
We need to hear from anyone that plans to be at Kansas City, Hutchinson, KS, Oklahoma City, Dallas/Fort Worth, Waco, and Fredericksburg, TX. These are the Rally stops where ACA is making arrangements and ACA is paying the RV park directly. We need to hear from you by July 22 so we've got time to make reservations, sign contracts and arrange payments before the 31st.

So, please make your commitment to us via email or phone as soon as you can. And then please follow that up with your Registration Form and your checks also, again as soon as you can. If we don't hear from you by July 22, we cannot make a reservation for you before the deadline and we must release the extra spaces that we had requested.

What if you can't make your plans until after July 22?
Unfortunately, you'll have to make your own bookings at these RV Parks. Tell them you're with the Alpine group and ask them to put you as close to us as they can. Please do keep us informed of your intentions just so we have a better idea of what's going on.

We apologize for this mistake. At the time, we were trying to keep the money in your pockets as long as possible (our hearts were in the right place!)

As always, if you've got any questions about the 2013 Rolling Rally, please contact us at
acarollingrally@gmail.com

Your co-Wagonmasters
