We will have ours in Yuma, don't know as we will head it up to the rally, but if you want to see it, contact me through this forum. I might drive up for the gearhead session once I see the agenda.

Please see attached Registration Form & Agenda for the Desert Rat Rally XIV

The jeep run will be scheduled on one of the open days with the route & objectives to be determined. There are a lot of old mine ruins and other interesting way points logged in the vicinity.
Fascinating Gearhead Session as always, Thu Jan 15th 09:00, coffe & donuts at 08:00 sponsored by Redlands, hope to have Koni Rep to discuss their new heavier duty shock series, Michelin Rep to discuss tire issues & the Michelin FMCA program for those w/questions, and Redlands Truck & RV (iRV2 sponsor) to discuss general maintenance.
Golf for those who need a day mowing the lawn.
We'll have a swap meet if there is interest.
And plenty of Alpine hospitality & friendship.

Thanks, and Hope to See Y'all in the Desert.

I'm very happy to have just confirmed attendance at the Gearhead 09:00 on the 15th of iRV2's own AZPete, from HWH to answer any questions on our slide & jack systems. He is exceptionally knowledgeable on the matter.

The Koni rep cannot make it, but Redlands will have Koni's new front shocks installed on an Alpine, do test drives after the gearhead, and have some pairs of those new shocks available at the show. Michelin is still a maybe. Orman Claxton, famous HydroHot/AquaHot tech will be in attendance (he is an ACA member) for your questions as well.

Dave Root, dual pane glass repair specialist, will be at Quartzsite starting the 17th or 18th, then heading to Yuma ~25th. If you have blown window panes and want him to service them, you can arrange for that while at the DRR. We've had several inquiries. Use this email address:
daverootrvglassrepair@gmail.com

If anyone hasn't sent in registration yet, feel free to send EngineerAnnie an email (see Reg form above) w/the registration info & drop the check in the mail. Currently around 60 coaches confirmed.

For anyone non-ACA who would like to attend, due to a recent IRS ruling, non-profit outfits cannot "sell" services, so rally fee payment needs to be made thru an ACA member. Anyone who would like to be EngineerAnnie's guest, please email w/the request & we'll let you know the simple process. Some ACA members are bringing guests, and paid for their friend's rally expense (thanks for remembering this from ACA newsletters, I forgot when making up the reg form, OOPS!).

Current coach count is up to 72.
We have a few attendees bringing checks to the rally. That's OK if it fits you schedule as well. EngineerAnnie needs an email with your coach & attendee info as soon as possible if you are planning to attend and have not already sent in your check.
Thanks, WagonBoy

From the intersection of AZ-95 and I-10,
Go 6 miles north to Plomosa Road
Right on Plomosa for 3 miles
You'll see our white tent & a group of Alpines
There will be a small ACA sign at the exit from the paved road, follow the tracks to the tent area & there will be parking assistance.
Then goes up the 13th, so if you are coming in early, look for the Alpines w/out tent.
Arrive with full water and enough propane & diesel for the week, and empty holding tanks
See you in the desert!!!!!

Hey Larry,

I was out there off of Plomosa Road today. The wife and I are in Quartzsite and are looking for a coach. We have been looking at 2006 Alpine in town but are interested in looking at a few more. We plan to camp on the side lines of your Rally in out Voltage Toy Hauler. Should arrive Wednesday the 14th. We will try to locate you and check out your coach.

Thanks G&P. I think a good time was had by all. We had only one face-plant in the gravel , which was non-injury. Otherwise all activities were well attended- Jeep run, golf, games , gearhead. Folks had fun learning how to hotwire an Alpine, details will be posted in the upcoming ACA Newsletter, along w/other fun facts .
Thanks to all who came and made it a memorable rally.
And we have volunteers in place to do the 2016 AND 2017 Quartzsite rallies!!!
