98 Alpine front cap

I recently hit a deer destroying the front cap on my 98 alpine. I have located a cap from an 03 Alpine. It measures the same as mine, and the brackets that attach to the generator look very similar. the headlights are a little different, which is fine. I was wondering if anyone knew if it would work, or knew who to contact about it. Thanks

Can your cap be repaired by a boat or a Corvette fiberglass person. My neighbor is a boat fiberglass guy and there isn't anything he can't repair with fiberglass.

Isn't this covered by insurance? Any truck or coach body shop should be able to repair it.

I had an accident several years ago that put a lower side panel into a dozen pieces. The fiberglass guy repaired to like new condition. He told me he does several of these every year. I'd think that a body shop would be able to repair your damage. If there is damage to gen slide mechanism a body shop would be a great place for that as well.

I would call Aubrey's RV in Union Gap, Washington. They would know and they also have front and rear caps. Talk to Carolyn. Their number is:

98 cap

Thanks for the input everyone.
I am meeting with a guy tomorrow that specializes in fiberglass repair and has 30 years experience fixing trucks, coaches, etc. He is very straight forward and will not tell me it can be fixed if it can't, reasonably that is.The shops around here are all busy with flood damage due to to so many deer moving because the bottoms are flooded.
The next option is the replacement cap, which is available.
The advantage in purchasing the cap would be the time factor. I could bolt the new cap on and still use the coach this month. That being said, I am wary that new cap wouldn't be a plug and play. Pictures I have seen of the framework behind the cap show some variance to mine and am not convinced it would just bolt on.

All the Alpines had the same lower front cap. (Gen. Slide cap) The only exception was the headlight change in late 99. How much is the new cap?

Alpine cap

They want $7500 for the cap. They have two of them. The one that has been taken off the coach was removed from the framework instead of just unbolting it. I asked about purchasing the one that was still on the framework and the guy got testy, he said he'd call me back after looking. That was two days ago.

If there is anything left of the old one just have it fixed. $7500. is way out of line and you can bet there would be a heafty shipping charge on top of that. Sould have asked you first how much they were charging.
