99 36FDS Alpine coach ???

on my coach right behind the gear shift buttons and beside the power mirror switch is a red toggle switch, it lights up when its on and I cant figure out what it does,,, I thought previous owner added it but ive seen one in other coaches same year and model
any help please

That is the switch that activates the side mirror defrosters.

I too thought someone must have fitted that switch, but no it was fitted at the factory. Yes it is the mirror heater but I have never been able to tell if it works.

In 9 years owning this coach, I've used it once. We were on the Oregon coast, weather was cool, foggy, light rain. The mirrors were fogged over. The mirrors defogged when I turned the switch to the on poisition. Other than that, I've never seen had use for it again. Folks that have camped in cold weather might chim in here with their experience.
