99 36SDS Walk on roof OK?
My '99 has no rear ladder and since I'm adding a bit of solar next year I just want to be sure the roof can be walked on by a 200lb man with no special precautions.
If a ladder was on the coach I'd assume it was OK but since it isn't . . . . . . . .
Thanks
Dave

It will not be a problem.

Thanks,
Figured it probably was given how well built these things seem to be but figured it was better to ask that get up there and hear a "crack".
Especially as the thread just below (Alpine & Trav'ler) mentioned
Quote:
I'm going to replace my King Dome with a Trav'ler. I know I've seen a thread somewhere that said you can't mount the Trav'ler in the same location as the King Dome due to vibration and noise caused by a roof area that is less than substantial.

Never would have questioned the roof's integrity if I hadn't read that.

Dave- depends on the 200lb man, but on his balance, not his weight.
The previous thread caveat was due to wind turbulence, not weight.

Cool, it was the "less than substantial" that worried me. Looks like I'll be fine.

Dave,
I, at 200 pounds, have been on the roof of your Alpine a few times and did not notice any flexing at all.
Just be careful when the roof's wet. That thing's as slick as owl-snot (or so I'm told by my local Owl expert) and it's a long way down.

Thanks Dave.
It was pretty good, considering he's very ill.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
