I was dry camping at Rancho Cuyamaca state park last weekend. It was cold, in the 30's. When I fired up the Onan Quiet Diesel, it started normally. However, immediately after the surge guard allowed power to the coach, the genset stared surging and the A/C power dropped out, came back on and started cycling with the genset surge. I shut down and re-started but the problem persisted. Anyone experience this type of problem?

Sounds like everything was fine until your SurgeGuard kicked in... -Did you hardwire/install the surgeguard? Has it been used successfully before this? Need more info.

troth,

The surgeguard came as an installed option on my coach and has been fine until now. Later on in the day (after the Charger game), I came back to the rig and the genset performed flawlessly. Intermittant problems are a pain to track down!
