A few Questions

Hello all I just got a "new to me" Alpine home and loving it. Its a 2008 34FDDS Limited. I have noticed some corrosion in the battery compartment. I want to remove all the batteries and clean and treat the areas of corrosion. I know to be careful with the batteries about shorting the terminals or touching thm to the frame. The cables are close together and the area is confined. Has anyone done this and have any feedback on the best way to tackle this job. Also is there any gotyas as far as restarting the electrical systems. I am talking about the xantrex controller for charging the batteries. Also if you have done this what have you used to treat the battery compartment?

Thanks in advance

I would suggest taking a picture of the battery compartment and cables before removing any. Turn off chassis and house power before disconnecting any cables. Disconnect the ground cable that connects to the chassis ground first.
