AC blower motor

The blower motor on our 2001 dash AC sounds like a lonesome bull elk when we are coming down a hill but is generally quite as we go up a hill. On flat ground it occasionally makes a terrible howl. I pulled the blower motor out, and the shaft that the squirrel cage is attached on is floating back and forth in the motor. The motor says unimotor 11588 on it. Does anyone have an idea where I could get a replacement motor? Thanks in advance Hax

the blower motor you need is from acme a/c part # 4100980
i paid 50.90 plus shipping.
there located at 79 n. 10th st, kansas city 66102 and the phone is
(913) 371-5373. Its very easy to replace from under the dash, just be sure not to misplace the rubber condensate drain.

I couldn't raise anyone at 913 371-5373, but did take the blower motor down to NAPA and they matched it with their part number 655-2189. $50 Same blower motor as a 97 Chevy Suburban. The gasket is a little different, but the bolt holes are the same. To install it you need longer screws and some washers. The NAPA one is made in China so I don't know how long it will last, but at least they should be available.
