Access to dash fan motor - Alpine 2000

How do you access the dash fan motor on a 2000 Alpines? From the sound mine now makes I believe the bearings are shot.

Thanks,
Tom

Take off the kick panels in front of the co-pilot seat and on the side of the center console. It is at the back of the center console slide. Mine was rubbed a hole in the the fan housing. The fan and motor are the same as the ones used in 2000 Chevy Suburbans. I had to duct tape the hole in housing. All is quite now and air is flowing out of the vents.
The squirrel cage fan is plastic and I think they melt or droop when they don't run for a
long time.
