A funniny thing happened on the way to the"Tundra Rollers" Sams club outing at 39 mile Steese Hiway several weeks ago. The engine driven air conditioning unit gave some cooling air and proceeded to not work at all. Finally just today I took time to trouble shoot the system using a meter and low pressure connection, I discovered that there was adiquate 134A refrigerent at the correct temperature and pressure. This was after the condenser was cleaned with a water hose and blown out. Low and behold I had cold air again.

Several questions: which way dose the hydrolic fan move the air and when does it move the air through the condensor? I don't believe the fan is turning all the time. Perhaps some one has more info on this. Thanks for any reply...Iron Mike: sopposably retired.

Iron Mike,

A/C is used in Alaska? Just kidding. Check out the thread Dash A/C Fan Problem. It discusses the lack of cool air from the dash A/C.

Tom and Patty; Thanks for the direction. That basically answers my concerns.

I must be getting old and slow as the posting indicated 3:54 AM but it was only 11:54 PM here. And publishing to the whole world with misspelled words does not help my ego. Thanks again for the redirection. Iron MIke.
