Rear Spoiler Replacement

We just lost our spoiler going from Needles to Barstow. Never heard it come off either. Guess I should have spent more time on IRV2 and not facebook.
I contacted Leslie Lubrano at Amtech phone#509-877-5968, Cell 509-823-8839. They do have the molds for the spoiler and will arrive in about three weeks. Cost $425, shipping $150. She also gave me the following name for brackets and lights.
Chris Phillips
Emerald Coast RV
6240 Gulf Breeze, FL 32563
850-939-3484
I have not called Chris about the lights yet. Hope this helps!!!!

Suggest you go with LEDs for replacement lights--std size is available at NAPA or most truck stops. No need to special order. Wiring should be straight-forward too. You didnt mention model year--is yr back-up camera intact?

Our coach is a 2005. And yes, the back up camera is intact. It will be on going down the road from now on.

We have not rec'd the spoiler yet. I was to ship 3/31 to the body shop in Carson City NV. We have not taken the motorhome down for the estimate yet and at that time will talk to them about the brackets since one is completely gone. I talked to camping world in FL and he was waiting for your spoiler before he could make the brackets. I plan on ordering the lights from trailer.com. My husband checked at Napa and found they were more expensive.

Our spoiler has arrived. We will take it in for the repair after we return from our Foley AL trip 4-20. They should be able to fabricate your brackets at the same time they are fabricating ours. Let me know how your refit goes.

Rear Spoiler Update

Our spoiler has arrived in Carson City NV along with the fiber optic clearance lights I got from etrailer.com. Looks like when the spoiler came off it created some large cracks on top.

Still checking out the damage. Mike at Rupperts in CC said they are going to make new brackets that will be much stronger than the ones that are left. Hope to be on the road again the end of April

Glad to hear your spoiler arrived. Ours had structural cracks in the fiberglass also, and with paint the bill will be close to $6,000.00, I hope yours comes in for less than that. We have been taking ours out, but only driving in daylight because of the lack of clearance lights. The fiber optic lights sound interesting, we went with the original equipment ones because they matched the recess formed in the spoiler, but they are just LED's.
Good luck,
Sid

For any of you that have replaced the pop rivets with bolts, do you have any pictures that show how you bolted the spoiler to the coach?

OldForester, I used "load-spreading" pop rivets about 2 years ago and so far so good. They were hard to find, but parts department at Guaranty in Junction city had some back then. Good Luck, Matt

I have an 08 and want to know what is causing the air dam to come off. is it the poprivits pulling out? Maybe they could be replaced before anything happens..Has anyone done this before it came off? Mel
