air filter--help

Hi all. I have a 2002 34'. It had a 330 hp that was upgraded to a 350. Anyone know what air filter was installed on those? The last one I installed was a WIX (Napa) 46904. I think that was right but would like to go back to the beginning.

Incidentally, the Wix filter is over $130 but they're having a 50% off sale starting 9/15.

Where is the best place to get filters? Thanks.

That is a different filter to the one on my coach but I looked it up in the owners manual and your is Nelson 70472N, Fleetguard AF25549. Filterbarn sells this for $57 or the Fram CA8003 for $47.50.

I have a 350 in my 01. These era coaches came with a 330 with an optional 350 which I believe is the same engine with an upgraded electronic package to increase it to a 350. I am not sure if there were any mechanical changes between the 2, but Cummins would know that.

As Jetar says the standard engine in '02 was the 330 ISC. The ISC 350 was an option as was the ISL 400. So technically the 330 wasn't "upgraded" but was a different engine that Cummins supplied to WRV. The differences were increased turbo pressure and fuel injector timing.

I have a 2006 36 Limited with the 400 ISL. The WIX number you have is the same for my unit as well as the Fleetguard. Baldwin number is PA3499 and K&N have introduced one of their washable filters #38-2033S. I believe Cummins supplied the motors and WRV took care of the air intake and exhaust.

According to Cummins and Banks the uprate is not possible without changing some hardware (turbo?). It's not just a programming change.

I can't help on the right part number. The only comment I could make is not to cut any corners on the quality of an air filter. I wouldn't use a washable one. I had a lot of equipment and used all those brands of filters and never had one fail. With all the money in one these engines, I only use Fleetguard now. I still have 1 1/2 years left on my warranty. When my turbo went out, the first thing Cummins did was pull the air filter and check the intake pipe for dust.
