Air Horn Failure
On my way home this weekend from camping, I needed to use my horn. Guess what...no horn noise. It worked fine the last time I used it.
Searching other posts, it seems possible that the solenoid may be the problem. 
Anyone have a clue where I can find the solenoid, and some idea of what it looks like and/or how big it is? I've pulled the lower dash panels to get a view of the firewall but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. ANY guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that the horn relay is not loose. That was my problem.

Ours is located about 12" above throttle pedal on the firewall. Buried under duct work and wiring. Kind of a pain to get to.

Made of brass, with couple of air line ports and 2 wires. 3" tall, 2" deep and 1" wide roughly. Bought new one at NAPA but most truck parts outlets will have what you need. Very common part.

Air Horn

My air horn quit. I could hear the horn make a click sound as it was trying to honk therefore the power source was intact.The part of it that provides the air had died. It was not available any longer. A new air horn kit was installed. The cost of the new Bad Boys air horn ($69.00) plus shop supplies (7.38) was $76.38. Labor was $123.00. Total with taxes and hazardous materials was $218.99.
I wouldn't hesitate to replace it myself if necessary. If it makes a clicking sound then you'll know that it has power. If you don't hear anything then it has to be electrical. If you can reach the air horn and if you have an air source apply a rubber air hose to the trumpets. That may tell you if the horn air pump is working.

Mine is on firewall ahead of driver's feet, just to left of steering column about 16" off floor.

Can you post a picture of the solenoid valve?
I just happen to have 2 new solenoid valves that may be what you need.
As a matter of fact, I have a few new items for our old 1999 330 ISC that may be of some value to you or others (2 fuel filters, 3 hydraulic filters, 3 coolant filters, 1 serpentine belt, 2 lube filters, 7 pre-paid oil analysis kits). Just pay the shipping. PM me if interested.
BTW, a friend of mine that previously owned an Alpine installed a manual shut-off valve upstream of a new solenoid valve because the original solenoid failed early in the morning at a CG and the horn did its thing. Much to the chagrin of everybody in the CG.

An update....
Found the solenoid this weekend but have yet to remove it. About 15" up from the floor, on the firewall, directly behind the steering column. Couldn't be in a more akward place.

Our drivers seat needed some work so I took it out to replace our horn solenoid. That helps a bit.

Are you sure you don't have a blown fuse? I had that problem on my 2000
