air horn solenoid and location

FYI The air horn solenoid on 2002 is located about 8" above and to the right of the acclerator pedal, behind the rug. The NAPA # for the Grover replacement is 730-1009. Fairly easy to replace. You will need straight 1/8" mpt to 3/8" compression fitting to make the replacement. The orginal solenoid required 90 degree elbow on the inlet side, new style needs the straight adapter.
I took the drivers seat out in order to tighten up seat 3/4" nut which had loosened. Using a C locking nut to fix seat problem. Anyhow seat out of the way makes it a lot easier for bad back types to access solenoid.

How much was the NAPA solenoid part?

Been awhile, but mine failed ON.
Found one with stainless steel internals (stock is zinc plated) that should be more impervious to moisture related failure:
Air Horn Solenoid failure
