I hear what sounds like air leaking near the generator when I have the engine running.

Is this typical?
If so, what is it?

We have that too - don't want to hear that it is a leak -- hoping to hear that it is the air bags adjusting themselves - we are parked on an incline - and I don't notice it when we are mostly level ---- fingers crossed here - we are almost at the end of debugging - picking up the rig from Ohlmann's on Friday for another shakedown weekend.

Bob,

Slide under the coach and see if it is coming from the valves by the air bags. If it is it will need to be adjusted.

Edit.. I hear the air leak on an incline too, mostly an incline from side to side. I hope it is normal.

I only noticed the sound since I parked it in my driveway, which, in that area, is not level. Actually, the levelling system indicates "Excess slope".

Judging from the replies, it doesn't sound like a "Leak". More like it is a normal occurrence.

So, I'll assume it is a normal occurrence until I learn worse.

Very likely, what you are hearing is the air bleedoff from the 'ride-height' adjustment. When you are level, recheck to see if the "leak" is gone. If not, you may need to check for a real leak or maybe the ride-height settings need to be adjusted.

Good to hear it may be a characteristic of the Air suspension.
I'll check it when on level.

On our 07 Dip, there is an air manifold just to the upper right when you open the front compartment that houses the generator. There is a green hose going to or coming from this housing that (I think) feeds the air guage on the dash. This hose was leaking on ours and no-one seemed to be able to find this leak until pointed out to them....
