Air of Hydraulics
Someone told me that my 1998 36SDS does not have straight hydraulic brakes but air over hydraulics. Can anyone confirm or deny that??

Correct answer from Old Scout.


They are HYDRAULIC over HYDRAULIC.


The same pump that supplies the Power Steering provides the boost.


You also have an electric backup to provide the hydraulic boost as a fail safe. It is built into the hydroboost itself.
