Alpenlite electric battery switch

I have an alpenlite 2008 34rlb fifth wheel. It has six six volt batteries, an inverter system, roof mount solar panel, 50 amp service. The previous owner did not know the answer to this question. There is what looks like a cigarette lighter chrome pull switch by the battery disconnect switch. Looks like a disconnect for some electric component ( maybe solar panel). I think I attached a picture. What does this switch do? Should it be in or out?

Have you looked behind the panel to see what wires are connected to it? Put a multimeter on the wire terminals to determine if it is getting power? Normally switches like that are OFF when pushed in, you pull them out to turn them ON.

Thanks, have tried to follow the wires, a bit difficult under there. Good suggestion on switch action and checking current flow.
