Alpine 2000 - Allison neutral interlock switch
I was getting ready to leave the campground today and the engine wouldn't start. Batteries were good. Connections were good. The starter solenoid clicked when I turned the key. The connectors all the way to the starter looked good. After calling road side assistance I was describing to my wife that the only interlock I could think of for this coach was the transmission not in neutral. I turned on the key and the display showed "N". I pressed "D" then pressed "N" again. Turned the key and the coach started right up.
Any idea why the transmission would show "N" but the interlock thought it was in drive?
