I was recently told that the engineer responsible for the Alpine Chassis design is the engineer who was responsible for the design of the Power Glide chassis for Tiffin. Anyone know if that is correct?

Thanks for the info.

I think so.
Gary Jones designed the Alpine chassis.

Thanks a bunch. The 2010 Phaeton has the Power Glide chassis as an option vs the Freightliner chassis.

I am ordering one with Power Glide without ever having driven it. Hopefully a good choice!! Based on the Alpine highway control rating, I am gambling that the Power Glide will produce the same highway stability.

Dan- I think you'll be happy w/your choice for 2 reasons. First the Tiffin chassis looks like a good one. Second, you will have nobody pointing fingers at each other when you have a warranty issue.

Yes that is correct according to a discussion I had with George & Mary at the Tampa Super RV Show.
