Alpine Headlights

Has anyone replaced the stock headlights with LED lights? If so, where do you get them? Were they H1, H4, etc ?
Thanks

Have not tried them yet, however, this appears to be a great and affordable way to convert the Alpine Halogen lights (which are H7) to LED headlights.

There are others also available.

100W? I thought the legal max for low beams is 55W; not that there is any enforcement in Kalifornistan.

I'm curious if those work for you.
This particular vendor appears to address the main issue with these bulbs. In the past, an LED replacement for an H1 or H4 bulb would never perform well. The projector headlight uses a reflector specially designed to focus the light emitted from the HID bulb. Because the light emits differently from the LED bulbs, they never 'threw' the light in the correct pattern. One of their pictures indicates they are trying to remedy this known issue. Maybe it's fixed. Last time I looked into this was a few years ago.

Kind of a deceptive ad text. The bulbs are 50w each but used as a set, they produce 100w. I did not notice until you posted and I reread the ad header and the second bullet point of the text.

BTW, I cannot find any California regulation regarding power of headlight bulbs in the Vehicle Code. I did find one site which stated the intensity of each headlight cannot exceed 2513 lumens, but I cannot find the legal source for that statement in the Vehicle Code. All I was able to find was a general statement about the intensity being adequate to see cars or people at a given distance. Nothing about limits on bulb wattage or lumens.
