Surprise Surprise
On Monday after retuning from Borrego Springs Donna and were watching CBS News Los Angeles (Channel 2) and they announced that an RV was involved in a Police Pursuit. I decided to stay up and watch. Well they indicated that an RV owner was accused of a crime while camping at Wilderness Lakes in Menifee CA (Thousand Trails). When the police arrived he decided to leave and the pursuit was on for a short distance. They did not show the pursuit but they showed the RV after they used stop sticks to deflate they tires. To my surprise It was a 2000 Alpine, I was able to Tivo it and will try to get it on a DVD.

I know the PEAK has a reputation as being the BMW of RV chassis, ..... but an Alpine owner surely know he can't out run the cops. Perhaps it was a rental??

I'll bet he regrets the decision to run after his visit to the tire store!! ED

Dave:
A friend forwarded me the article from the Murretta paper........... and Julie said, "that looks just like the coach parked next to us at Borrego Springs". I said, "no it couldn't have been Dave", he most certainly has more sense than to try to out run the ploice........ but it does have the same color scheme as yours'

Walt,
If you have the link to the Murrietta story, I would like to see it. I missed it on the news. Just for the record, my coach is a green 2004, so it wasn't me. I agree with Ed, when he gets the tire bill, he will be sorry about the spike strips.
Maybe it was the same guy that crashed the Ferarri in Malibu yesterday.

Jim:
If you could forward me your email, I'll attached a scan of the article. It is an odd thing being an Alpine owner to see a coach like our's sitting on the side of the road with the passenger side tires flat. In addition to the expense for the tires, the individual is going to be out some dough to repair the body damage around the wheel wells.
I did check the ACA Roster and the individual listed is not a member of the association.

Thank God, the last thing we want to be a member of is an "Outlaw RV Gang". Break out the leathers Patty
