On the way home from work I saw a 1998 or 1999 Alpine in what looks like an auto/truck/RV salvage yard here in Southern California. It appears to have been rear ended on the passenger side. If you paste these coordinates into Google earth or Google maps you can see where it is located.

I'm not sure if this is a pick-a-part type place or if they only sell the entire vehicle.

I'm thinking of buying a spare, to tow behind me for parts. Glad I have the ISL now; just have to beef up the trailer hitch to 30,000 lbs. Thanks for the tip.

Towing a complete unit as a source of spares?
You sound like a Harley rider.

T&P,
Ask yourself this:
Would I want to fly on an airplane built by Harley-Davidson?
When you see a large group of Harleys on the highway, why do you think there's usually a car hauling a trailer following them?

Bob,
I have a 1981 Gold Wing that has been sitting for a while in the garage. The last time we road any great distance was around Sturgis time. We passed more HD's in pick-ups or on trailers. All the while we were doing 85 mph across the desert, day in day out, with no oil use.
HD's are made much better now!
