Yesterday (Feb 16, AM) was a good day for seeing Alpines on the move. While going from Pomona, CA to Phoenix, AZ (I-10) passed three Alpines going west bound around Banning, Palm Springs, & Indo. One was a 2005. Also saw one parked at the Spotlight 29 Casino at Coachella, CA where the I-10 and 86 split. To my surprise it was the same color as my 2004!!! Keep those Alpines Rolling......

Just seen an Alpine on Fox news. It is at the Tea party Rally in Nevada. Go Alpiners! I also seen an Apex on South Padre Island . I did not find Roy who was broke down at the County park. Sorry Roy hopefully you got on the road.

Wow! Are we famous now that we've been on Fox News? How cool is that!!

We were on our way home today from our fun SoCal rally in Phoenix and stopped for lunch at the Cracker Barrel in Kingman, AZ. As we were leaving, we waved at an '05 Silver/Black (probably 40') towing a silver Jeep (I think) just pulling into the Smith's parking lot across the street. Didn't recognize the folks inside, but waved enthusiastically anyway. Hope your travels are safe.

All, while we were again in Orlando, FL, we saw another Alpine in the Thousand Trails Park there. We stopped to say hello, but the fellow was busy on the phone, and we never got to meet. Other than that, we have not seen any others so far on our trip. We are in Crossville, TN currently.

Monty,
Did you wave when you passed our home in Asheville on your way to TN?

Hi All,

I was coming back from Cuyamaca mountain in San Diego and saw a gold/maroon Alpine towing a gold colored SUV. Both had Washington plates. We were headed west on 52 out of the Santee area and I was driving my restored bright red 1968 Corvair. I pulled along side but the orientation was not right for me to wave. We both headed north on I15.

Saw a Tan/Green 40' (?) heading east on route F (highway 126) in Veneta, OR (likely driving from Florence to Eugene) at about 10am Saturday morning. I wasn't in our coach, so you didn't know you were caught.

Saw a white/gray 2000 or 2001 vintage Alpine Coach exiting from the Mustang Island State Park off state highway 361 near Corpus Christi, TX at about 1:30 PM on 4/16 as I was driving my Jeep Grand Cherokee south on 361. We are staying nearby at the the Gulf Waters RV Resort.

OUCH! '00s and '01s are vintage now? That means I'm gonna have to trade up soon or face comments about how "cute" my vintage coach is.

Takepride and Tom,

I can certainly understand that you would like to think of your coaches as fine, vintage wine, which I'm sure they are. I even look upon my coach in that category now, especially after fixing all the serious issues with it - thanks to the information and advice of many on this forum.

However, per Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary, one definition of "vintage" is "a period of origin or manufacture" or "length of existence", which seems to fit the context of my usage of this offending term.

Vintage - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Frankly, all our coaches are now approaching the fine wine vintage characteristic, since WRV has been out of business for a couple of years.

Just saw a silver/white/green Alpine Coach going west on I80 at the 54 mile marker pulling a "v" nose enclosed trailer.

Passed Alpine (04?) going northbound on I-15 at point of mountain (about 20 miles south of Salt Lake City) today this AM. Lots of MH's going north but only one good looking one.
