Hi GT...welcome to our hot city! We live on the other end of town, but thought we'd take a drive down to see if we can connect with all of you Alpiners. We'll do that some time this weekend...if you see this and are going to be away from your rig, please let us know.

Sure hope your ACs are in good working order!!

Gail

My ACs are working great but I don't want to jinx it.

We are looking to do some family stuff while in town so I'm not sure of our schedule. I think the Alpiner's across from us came in late so I haven't been over to bother them as of yet. I would like to meet up with some other Alpine owners if I can.

I'll have to warn you, my coach isn't looking it's best. I'm not allowed to wash it here and the local come on site wash place charges $80 so I'm not sure if I'm going to do that. I'm also in the middle of an LCD retrofit that is currently repaired with duct tape. Luckily I live in Arkansas so I get a free pass for all duct tape fixes.

If you want to call before you come out, feel free to do so.

GT

Gail invited us to dinner and we graciously accepted. John and Gail met us at our coach and they got to see my Arkansas duct tape mess for themselves.

We really appreciate their hospitality and company. Gail is a neat lady and John isn't so bad himself. There were 5 margarita's consumed and I didn't have any so between the other three remaining adults there, I'll let you use your imagination how those 5 got split up.

John and Gail are great people and we appreciate them reaching out to us. John, how about we get a little Hold'em game going if my crew can make it to Texas in Oct?

Thanks for everything!

GT

John and Gail (and Sammie) were the first Alpine Coach owners we met the first year we had ours. We ran into them in St. Louis, and they convinced us to join Alpine SoCal and ACA.

July 12th we were headed east out of Malta, Montana and spotted another Alpine heading west toward Malta. Waved as we sped past!

Hi GT,

Just getting caught up and saw your note. You are welcome! We had such a good time with you and family! Your kids are so well behaved, that they were a delight.

Hope you found a good place to stay in So CA, and are having some time to enjoy the area.

I know John will be glad to get a Hold 'Em tournament going when we are at the Texas rally, and you'll be our number 1 dealer! We'll have to talk to Dean & Jan, the wagonmasters, about getting this into the schedule if possible.

While driving the CRV today, I spotted an Alpine going north through Dawson Creek, BC. Could have been heading toward either Fort Nelson or Prince George.

Pulled into Sumpter Junction Restaurant, Baker City, OR for lunch today, and parked nearby was a 2000/2001, probably 40ft, front door, single slide with black stripes...had a paper plate, so probably just purchased. Toad was a silver mid-size SUV with Colorado plates. Wore our Alpine owner hats into the restaurant in hopes that someone would approach us, but no luck.

Whoever you are, we really hope you have found iRV2!! We wish you safe travels, and welcome you to the Alpine family.

Boy, I've hit the Alpine jackpot this week. Went by The Paint Department this week in Chino, CA and saw a gray, silver, etc. Alpine. The guy who runs the place says he knows Alpine Owners are a fiercely brand-loyal group and how I ought to check out irv2.com and ACA. Hmm....

Next I went by Camping World in La Mirada for some supplies when I spied this coach with the name Meyer on the windshield. Looks like a 2000.

Passed a green/brown Alpine 20 miles south of Topenish Wa. on 97 today as we were headed to Levenworth. Staying at a real nice spot right on the river called Icicle RV Park. Highly recommend the park.

Passed an Alpine, gold in color, pulling a gold SUV at noon today. It was either on Ca Hwy 41 north or Ca Hwy 46. For the life of me I can't remember which highway it was. Coming from Paso Robles? Wine Country RV?

I was waving like crazy and my p/u had Hercules Tire graphics on it. I hope you didn't pull over thinking something was wrong

We live out in our old van. Travel all across this land. Drive until the city lights dissolve into a country sky, me and you - hand in hand.

Had the pleasure of parking in a site right across from a 03-04 Alpine at the Bay Bridge park in Yellowstone National Park on Aug 31, we got in around 11p. Didn't get a chance to introduce ourselves before they pulled out the next morning.

Headed to the Oregon Coast for the Slam~n~Salmon Derby in Brookings Harbor and had a twin Bronze/Tan/Brown Alpine staying at the Driftwood Park, I had et the owner last fall there and learned he had purchased as one of the final completed caoches from WR as they shut down. He indicated he'd shopped around and the Alpines were by far the best hands down in quality.....i just agreeded.... :-)

I finally spotted an Avalanche. It was at Thousand Trails in Idyllwild, CA over the Labor Day Weekend. Imagine my surprise to see the logo "Alpine Coach" on the front of a Fleetwood. No offense intended, but the rear radiator setup with those huge doors, just ain't purdy!

Never did see the "Avalanche" logo, must be on the side somewhere. It took me a while to get over someone impersonating an Alpine before I realized why and by then they had pulled out. Oops!

Smile Alpine Sighting in Falcon, Colorado

Spotted a 2003 Alpine on 6-7-2010 at the "One Stop Custom Shop" in Falcon, CO. The coach was having its Inverter replaced. Taped a note to the door with an offer of Coffee and/or Lunch. Received a call and visit the next day from Chuck & Sheila Peterson of Luxemburg, WI. Had a great visit.
