Ran into Anita & Dale from Rocklin, 36'-08, last PDI to leave the factory the day they shut. Saw them on Taylor Road in Rocklin (just east of Sacramento, CA) unhooking their toad, just back from Bodega Bay.

Having lunch at the Black Bear Diner in Susanville, CA yesterday, and what should drive by but a green '02 (or '01 w/ full body paing). No toad, heading south on SR 44.

We're home now for a bit, so probably won't see any more Alpines until we go to the Sequoia rally next month...unless we go over to Dale & Dixie's...

BTW, Dan...thanks for starting this thread...it's kinda fun.

Spotted another Alpine that made it to Wishon without taking out any posts on the side of McKinley Grove road.

We had Sunday dinner with Joel and Mary (that I burned) before we came back down to Fresno.

My proof reader (Patty) was absent. Sentence structure...sentence structure
Joel and Mary are still safe and unharmed

It poured rain and hailed while I was getting the campfire coals ready to cook the veggies. I thought the fire was almost out from the rain when I laid the veggies on the grate. A few minutes later the fire had revived itself and the flames were two feet over the corn and asparagus. I didn't notice until we had popped corn-on-the-cob.

Mary, Joel, Dayna, and Marshall pretended not to notice the added smoky flavor

Tom is too modest! Dinner was great, and company even better. We moved to site 7, and can now watch the Chargers play this weekend. Thus we are going to stay until Monday. Wishon is truly a very pleasant high Sierra setting, and right now, we are the only ones on this side of the park.

Joel &/or Mary,

Check out space 9, since that is the one we are supposed to have next month before the Kingsburg rally! Tom and Patty deserve a discount from the RV park for telling us about the place.

Jim,

Here is a picture of site 9, site is from the left of the truck to the short rock wall on the right of the rig.

You don't get the tents

Of course we could rent them to you!!

Well, we left home on Aug 5th and headed out on the 40 to Gallup, up to Silverton, then to Gunnison and Leadville and finally saw our first Alpine at the Saint Vrain State Park in Longmont, Co. A later model model 34 (Colorado plate) was parked a couple of sites from us. Did not get a chance to visit before they left after our first night. We are presently in Bridgeport, Nebraska on our way to the Black Hills.

Tom,

It looks like we could live with that space. I will probably pass on the offer for the tent rental. We have an Alpine Coach so we don't have to use those!!! No room for the plasma TV in the tent.

So that is what a fire marshal looks like!

Yesterday, Fort Stevens State Park, Oregon check-in area, and Warrenton harbor, Oregon, overnight parking area. Two separate rigs within 5 minutes.

First we were in South Jetty, and said hello to a fellow alpine owner who was camped there, but grey hair keeps me from getting their names. Then we went over to the Casino in Florence, and there in the parking lot was another one, which we stopped at and said hello. Saw an additional one heading down the road away from us, waved at them.
Now screened rooms in the picture, do they have sewn in floors? Which brand are they if you know, because we need at least one for us to use on our trip to Florida later this year, and we want one with a floor.
