Alpine So Cal will have a Rally at Diaz Lake, in Alabama hills of Lone Pine, during the Lone Pine Film Festival, October 6th, 7th, 8th, it will OK to come in early the (the 5th) and stay later (the 9th).

Diaz Lake is on the west side of us 395. Located north of Boulder Creek RV Park, and just south of Lone Pine, CA.

There is a shuttle bus from campground to Lone Pine and back, $1.00 each way per person, (2005) rate.

Dry camping on the western side of Diaz Lake, water is available on some sites, close enough to get with a couple of hoses. Camping Rates are $10 dollars per night, County of Inyo, Semi grassy areas.

What to do there, 3 day film festival starting on Friday the 6 of October, thru Sunday the 9th of October. Come see western (cowboy) movies that were film on location in and around the Alabama Hills of Lone Pine CA. Lone Pine is situated at the base of Mount Whitney. Also during the film festival 60 miles north in Bishop is a great car show. The 2 events only happen on the same weekend about every 4 years.

Please go Lone Pine Chamber of Commerce to get more info about Lone Pine.

Please go to Lone Pine Film Festival. For more info on events and tickets for guided bus tours to location sites and other useful details.

Please contact the Wagonmaster Keith Legare' at jkleg@aol.com.

Thank you.
