Hi Mike,

I'm a fairly new Alpine owner but can already see great value to your efforts to compile as much info as possible about our coaches. I have a 2008 40MDTS Alpine Coach SE. Has anyone provided a copy of the owners manual for that model? If not I will be happy to help by scanning and sending you a PDF of the complete manual.
Thanks for honchoing this effort.

Dave Weber

Alpine parts

You have a great idea. We have a 2002 40FDTS Alpine Coach and we love it!
We have had to do a few repairs since we purchased the unit in February 2010. I have all the receipts for these repairs and will share the sources.

We currently looking for the manufacturer of the shower unit in this coach. The glass panels are etched and need to be replaced. Any help offered will be greatly appreciated.

A glass shop is your best bet. The shower assembly is residential anyway.

Does that hold true for the frosted sun dome on top of the shower? I've had to seal some cracks in it but would like to eventually replace it.

Bob:

I've tried to locate the top plastic piece, too. I've tried Aubry's and several other holders of WRV parts. They were provided to WRV by a wholesaler/aggregator that was not operating as of last year. I'd like to find another of the neo-angle top pieces, I think lots of us could use them. One guy knew the correct measurements and claims to have seen them, but couldn't put me in touch with anyone.

I polished mine a bit and resealed it. It has a few cracks around the screw holes.

A square of the same length will work and would not be visible from the inside. I just prefer to hang on for the correct size until the last minute.

If you are interested in the shower skylight's inner piece, here's Aubrey's response:

Thanks for the e-mail. I am sorry to take so long to get back to you, but I had emergency surgery last Wednesday and today is my first day back – part time. The skylight that I have listed is actually a rectangle skylight and won’t fit. Your skylight is what they call neo-angled and most had an inside piece and an outside piece. I have sold all of the outside pieces that I had and only have a couple of inner pieces left. Let me know if this will help you or not.

I believe you can email All-Rite.com for an order form, onto which you put your req'mts for the neo-angle bubble, dimensions, etc. WRV used the plastic bubble only, no frame as shown in All-Rite's examples, screwed to the fiberglass roof & sealed around the edge & over the screws w/self-leveling sealant. I think you can order the bubble only.

Sorry, I got the last roof bubble from Aubrey's. Was ~$90 plus tax. You can take the dimensions off your own roof skylight. I'd give them the square dimension, then show the "setback" to the angle cut from the odd corner.

Has anyone replaced their shower stall?

What are the centerline measurements?

the Outside is 19 1/2" X 25 1/2" X 17 1/2"
the Inside is 17 3/4" X 25 1/2" X 15 3/4"

Now simple logic tells me to "split the difference"

18 7/16" X 24 1/8" X 16 3/4"

Now I know the simplest way would be to remove the old one first and measure....But I want to have the new one in hand before I take out the old one...
I'm kinda funny that way...And I like to take showers..

Mike:

Let me know if you can place an order. I would like to order one (or two) as well. If they have to custom make them, maybe we can get a volume price with several others here.

It was described on Aubrey RV's site as "SKYLIGHT 17-3/4" X 25-1/2" WHITE". I believe you want to quote the outside measurements.

Whoa there guys!,

I think I wan't clear and you misunderstood my post.

I am talking about the "SHOWER STALL", not the skylight.

I am in the middle of a remodeling project and am looking to replace the "Polished Brass" framed shower stall with one in "Oil Rubbed Bronze" with etched glass.

If I was to replace the skylight, I would just "open -up" the hole in the roof and size it to fit a standard size.

Mike - take a look at Pelland Enterprises for showere stall and related parts. I was doing a search and came acroos their site. They have many different sizes of the "neo angle" type pans so I'm assuming they have the other parts necessary to build a new shower.

Takepride - Pelland Enterprises also carries various sizes of neo angle domes. Since you have an old one directly available (picture), perhaps you could measure it to match an item in Pelland's inventory. Or, PM me with the measurements and I'll research it.
