I'm sure your're aware that the arm in the ice compartment needs to be down as opposed to being in the up position which temporarily stops the ice making operation.

There is a water reservoir tank in the fridge section down low on the inside back wall. You need to verify that it's full of water to make sure your water supply is good. NOTE: You still need to make sure that you have a pressurized water source from the CG or via the water pump.

The freezer compartment MUST be operating at proper temperature. You can place a glass or bowl of water inside to see if it freezes. I set my freezer temperature at 4 - 4 1/2 on the dial. Same for fridge section.

The solenoid in the rear is actually a dual solenoid. Does the water dispenser in the door work? If so, then that part of the solenoid is OK. You should be able to hear a click in the back every time you push the dispensing lever. If not, then that solenoid is probably bad. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot the ice make short of pulling the fridge to check the solenoid directly.

Sorry, but OS is correct in that testing or changing that solenoid will require pulling out the fridge. YUK! It's doable but quite a PITA.

I have water on the door. The ice maker makes and dispenses ice if I pour water in the tray. Any more ideas. Thanks much.

Amana Ice Maker Solenoid

There are 2 solenoids on the back, one for the water on the door, one for the ice maker. Replace the ice maker solenoid, they are available from Amana parts dealers, don't ask how I know😂.

I solved the problem. The water delivery line into the tray was plugged with ice. I thawed it with a hair dryer and now it makes ice. It took about 1/2 hour with the hair dryer to open the blockage.
