In my 05 the Amana was only secured at the bottom about center of the refer with only a small metal plate with 2 screws that only one was actually holding. The top was not secured at all. I know from turning a curve a little too fast the refer fell across the isle. Lucky for me the wall with the pantry caught the refer. But while you have it out, it is a good time to clean coils and the back side for better cooling. It has rollers that I think were supposed to sit down in the holes drilled at each corner, but they were off by a few inches all around. I now have two straps that hold the refer secured while traveling. I have learned to slow down before the curves now!!

How do you think they get the fridge out. Looks like the door isn't wide enough.

Dennis, remove the grill along the bottom of Refer' & you should see the plate with two Phillip head screws, only one of mine were actually holding. The metal plate was wedged between the Refer & edge of tile floor. The Refer is on rollers & will come out from cabinet.

In addition to the screws in the front, ours is held by two bolts from the compartment below into the frame of the reefer. Getting the reefer out of the motorhome requires removal of one of the windows.

Amana residential frig removal

On our 2005 (FDTS), manufactured in late 2004, there are 4 T45 (torx) bolts from the basement (2 in the second compartment behind the front wheel and 2 in the next compartment back, that has both the grey and black tanks). Getting them out is easy, aligning to reinstall is not so easy, but it can be done, I used a mirror to get it close then have patience they will align. Due to our floor plan I can remove the door from the pantry to get the refer into the living room for repair, however would have to take out a window and have at least 4 people to help get it out of the coach.

I think I am glad I do not have a kitchen on a slide.
