Ambient air pressure sensor location

Scan code 222 says ambient air pressure sensor problem. Picked one up but not sure where it is located on engine. 36 foot mdss 2000 model alpine with 330 cummins. Any help would be appreciated.

When the shop sold you the sensor did they say what engine you have ?
In 2000 , I believe that both the ISB & ISC were available in a 330HP version.
I have this diagram for the ISC, but the ambient sensor isn't listed.

I will be looking for it later today. Possibly attached to bottom of radiator. Now that I have part in hand at least I know what I'm looking for. It could have been located at the discretion of WRV. This is info I gleaned from Cummins.

Still haven't located ambient air pressure sensor anywhere on motor. It is an isc. Gave motor number to cummins and they had a part for it but they didn't have info on placement as it is a MH and could be anywhere. Still looking.

Because the sensor reports to the Cummins ECM, you can narrow your search to follow wires that start at that ECM, or run off the harness where the harness attaches to the sensors on the engine.

Skip, here is what I found in another post
The part number of the sensor is 4902720 which supersedes sensors numbered 3080407 and 3085140. The new one was introduced in Feb '06. The TSB says the new sensor "will not" thread or bolt into existing sensor locations so the old one may not resemble the new one. The new sensor is to be cable tied and taped to the wiring harness, parallel with the ground, and pressure port facing down.
I found the old sensor and replaced it with the new. No more dash warning light. Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the follow up, Bill.
Did you keep a copy of the TSB ? Any chance you could post it ?
Or at least, the link or web site , where you found it.
Could be a help to others with similar issues.

Skip - Did not get a copy of TSB. All the info I have is what I cut and pasted in my last post. I originally googled the cummins part we pulled off and found an old IRV2 post with the info I pasted in last post. At that point we had already switched out the sensor but the googled post confirmed that my new sensor part number replaced the part we had removed. The 2 sensors look nothing alike which made it difficult to compare and locate on the engine block. If you refer back to the schematic you sent me and follow the #4 part line to where it ends at the block , look directly above to a black part that looks like a cross (definition was not very good when I enlarged it on screen). That should be the sensor. 2 bolts hold it to the block. It is deceiving though because from the top looking down it appears that the sensor interfaces with something in/on the block and upon inspection the sensor portion of the part is snug against the block. Logically I would think that it was not an ambient air sensor, as I would think it would always be as hot as the motor. But I'm not a mechanic and my dash light is off so I hope this helps someone else in the future. Once again thanks for your input. Off to Yellowstone with the Grandkids tomorrow from Ohio. Safe travels to everyone.
