We have an appointment at WRV in March. Our concerns are that we might be there for quite a while. Any suggestions as to what we can do to shorten our repair time; make sure parts are available, etc. We bought our coach 01/02/07 and are still trying to get our warranty issues taken care of. Chris Pursley has been great and deserves much praise. A BIG Raise would be in order.

I'd give a call to Chris Scott at WRV to ensure they are ready for you. He's in charge of scheduling and coordinating for the service appointments.

I would arrive about Wednesday of the week before and stay at Camp WRV. Let them know that you are there for the upcoming appointment and remind them of the things that need to be done. Nothing like a visible presence to help get you off on the right foot.

We just spent four weeks up there and the nights are cold. If you have Hydro Hot, be sure you have lots of diesel fuel in your tank, because the electric setting will not keep you warm enough.
Take a card table and chairs with you, they have a very small lounge with seating for about eight people. You will have to be out of your coach all day while they have it in the shop and there is not much to do in the area.
They did open a new Costco, right down the street, while we were there. That was the highlight of our time spent in Yakima.

We spent a week in Nov and a scheduled return two weeks later in Dec. On both visits, WRV was efficiently working on the problems that were scheduled to be taken care of in a very timely fashion. In fact, by the time we finished the check-in procedure, they had the HWH checked out and found that it needed recalibration. Two visits to other dealers had produced no diagnosis. WRV did the repair in a timely manner.
Try not to stress, as I'm sure there are many who have had dismal experiences, but there are a lot of us who have had excellent service as well. You know, the old silent majority.
Weather can be quite cold, so be prepared for real wintry conditions. Enjoy!!!!!

Chris Scott is the one to talk to. He had the guys scheduled to do what we were there for as well as a few that I had not told him about.
While we were there we met up with Frank Rouse and worked with him to install the Vagabond water system. What a difference, we now use the water in the coach, no more Aquafina.

Thank you all for your suggestions. We have communicated with Chris Scott and he seems to be on top of our needs. We plan on being there a few days before our appointment and hope their estimated time for repairs will be accurate.

These are all good suggestions; however, I wouldn't be too worried about the cold weather. March is usually fairly nice here and probably in the 50's. If you need any local stuff, you can call me - 509-952-3104.

Jim & Steph,
You never said when your appointment was. We have an appointment there March 17th and should be around for a while, may be we will see you there. We have always met the nicest people while at "camp WRV," many of whom have become good friends.

From what I saw at the factory/service center when we picked up our new coach in mid-January, I think you'll be surprised at the attitudes and the service. By March, the weather can actually be quite warm during the days, but still can get chilly at night. There could be rain in the Spring, but it's usually sunny. If you enjoy walking or biking, have the folks show you how to get down to the Greenway; over 10 miles of paths along the Yakima River (dogs must be on a leash). The large Valley Mall is less than a mile away for shopping. The "Wine Country" area of the lower valley should be in high gear for tastings by March...dozens and dozens of wineries. The Yakama Nation casino is about twenty minutes south in Toppenish. There's plenty to do...it just depends on what you like. Enjoy

Hi Jim & Steph,
Whenever you assume that the weather will be "normal", no matter where you go, it seems you get fooled. We picked our new coach up in Yakima last March and expected 50ish weather. HA!
It was below freezing nearly every night and quite chilly during the day. We had to scrounge through the sale racks to find sweats to keep warm enough.
Anyway, just a word of warning to be prepared for any kind of weather in March.
