What do you have the "Start SOC" and "Stop SOC" values set to on the Configure Triggers menu under the Auto Gen Start menu on the Xantrex display? Mine are currently set to "off" but it seems like maybe they ought to have a value.

I have values set in the StartV parameters, which seem similar to the Start SOC and Stop SOC values. Do you need both sets set?

Jerry,

See if this topic helps, I don't have my manual close and don't remember all of the settings. Automatic Generator Starter (AGS) shutdowns

Jerry & Shirley,

When we had our Xantrex software updated, we lost that setting, so I guess I wouldn't worry about having it set to zero (or anything else). Also, if you haven't had an update done, you might want to consider it.

Hope you two are well.

Is there a good reason to have the update done? What do you gain?

I would always recommend to have the software upgraded. If you are not having any problems, I wouldn't go out of my way to do it, but if you are at a rally where Xantrex tech's are, I would definitely have it done. The advantage is, curing any bugs and updating the charging parameters to take care of known problems.

Dale:

Do you have the version number that is the most current?

My RS3000 is only a few months old now, but I'm not so sure it is up to date. I'll try to remember to look tomorrow and post it.

I need to talk to Mike Swenson at Xantrex and check on the update I have wanted. It was suppose to have been done about 9 months ago, but I haven't checked about the status. The charger was coming on in the float mode too often, instead of starting in bulk. The update was going to fix that.

Our version #s are 1.03.00 for AGS; RS2000 is 1.04.01; and System Panel is 1.07.00. The last time we updated the system was 8/04/2007 at the Redmond, OR FMCA rally.
