I do not know if there are still Avalanche owners out there, but, if there are, you need to read this. We have had severe paint bubbling problems, since we purchased our coach, in July 2004. It has been to WRV 5 times for touch-ups, and twice to private paint shops. After a 7-week stint at Yakima, last fall, we had enough. We took the coach to a reputable paint shop, who wrote up a $53,000 estimate for repairs, and added the comment, "A new paint job will not fix the problem." The problem, after all these failed attempts, rests in the materials under the paint, which will not allow the paint to adhere, properly. If you have an Avalanche, get it looked at, and protect your investment. Good luck.

We also had/have this problem. At first it was small bubbles but as time has gone on they have grown and some have split open and the paint peeled off. Paint professionals told us that it was a problem with the original preparation of the surface and although the areas damaged can be fixed it will be a recurring problem on the entire coach.

HockeDad:
If you still own that Avalanche we need to talk.
Please contact me ASAP regarding ongoing WRV issues specific to the Avalanche model.
