In our 34', 2005 Alpine there is an electrical panel in the bathroom with 3 switches (Fan, Pump, Light). It makes no difference on flushing the toilet if I turn the Pump switch ON or OFF. Sure would like to know how to use the switch. - Tom

The pump switch turns on the water pump. If you are not connected to city water, you can add water to the toilet. I also have a pump switch up front in the cabinet above the dash on the right side. Either switch will operate the pump. If I am missing something, please forgive me.

If you're connected to "City Water" and pressurized, then turning the pump switch "On" would probably make little to no difference when flushing or even filling the toilet. However, typically the pump will come on or run for a short period while water runs in the toilet. You still wouldn't observe much difference in the toilet.

On the other hand we've been at a campground where the water pressure seemed a little low when taking a shower (for our preference). As someone suggested in a previous thread, we turned "On" the water pump while taking a shower and it boosted the pressure very nicely. I turned the pump "Off" for all other purposes in this situation.

No one told you that for the pump to run.
It is best to have some water in the Fresh water tank, so the pump will have something to pump.

T-James: Assuming for the sake of argument you have water in the tank, and the toilet room pump switch does not turn on the pump.
My theory (based on pump switch on tank panel in overhead working as one would assume)- WRV or some subsequent tech might have bypassed the inoperative switch. The standard wiring by WRV was to place the two switches in the circuit as a "three-way" switched circuit. Wiring solid thru the closet 3-way segment would return the circuit to standard on/off switch operation at the overhead tank panel.

I appreciate all of your suggestions for this problem. It boiled down to a problem with the valves in my extreme pump. Replaced pump and no more problems. (Guess afer 6 years I should expect the pump to get old and decrepted like I am). -Tom-
