If you can afford AGMs, get them. They are so much easier to live with. Completely maintenance free for the life of the battery. They will not leak or off-gas like flooded batteries do. My flooded batteries always had caustic acid crud on and around them, which damaged the battery trays. If you are unlucky, the acid gasses can damage your paint or other components. By contrast, after four years my AGM batteries are still spotless and clean, and I have never had to water them or service them in any way. Plus, they absorb a charge faster which means less generator running to recharge them. Expensive yes, but well worth the difference if you can afford it.
