My battery fill water pump has died. Has anyone replaced theirs? I'm not sure how to take it out of the plastic reservoir. I actually like this battery fill system; it has worked really well for me up to now. If I have to replace the plastic reservoir along with the pump do any of you have one laying around after changing to a different system? I saw a reference to a thread where someone was "junking-out" an Alpine; but I have not been able to find it. Any help, advice or appreciated.

From the Alpine Forum page, try a search on "Battery Fill Pump" and you should come up w/a number of useful discussions.

We replaced ours this summer. We took the motor off the tank, it's just kind of wedged in there. We then took it to an auto parts store and matched it to a windshield wiper fluid pump. Easy fix.

If you can't get one that works at the auto parts store or find the other solutions that are listed on the threads in this forum to work, let me know via PM and I'll take mine off our coach and send it to you. We switched to LifeLine AGM batteries a year ago and I don't use the old pump, but haven't taken it or the reservoir off the coach.

Thanks for the offer OldForester; but taking EMike's advice I went back to some old postings and found that Aubry's RV had what looks like the OEM replacement...so with John's encouragement about the ease of installation, I'll let you know in a week or two if the part worked. I'm kinda glad to give them any business I can so that they keep their inventory that is posted on the ACA website. Thnaks again all!

I replaced mine with a perfect match from Aubrey's last Summer. The existing unit pops out with a hard twist and a little help from a screwdriver.

For the record: the pump from Aubrey's worked. Thanks all, for the help.

Believe it is a windshield washer pump for a BMW can match at most auto parts store.
