Just noticed bay compartment by entrance door (mid-door unit) beginning to creep open after few days of no travel. No more than 1'' to 2". Other larger bay on drivers side no problem. Anyone with ideas?

Tom,

Had a similar problem with a hinged door that was twisted. Found out that the previous owner had replaced the door (assuming an accident). In addition to that they installed the wrong shock absorber thingy that had too much compression for the latch. Just a couple of things you can check.

Tom.

Do a search for creeping slides. It sounds like you have a problem with the solenoid that operates that Smart bed. The Smart beds and slides use the same type solenoids.

Dale,
Thanks for tip. Coach at repair shop for defective transfer switch and will have tech check solenoid in the smart bed. Wish him luck.

Tom,

The solenoids are located on the HWH manifold in the compartment just behind the pass side front wheel. I am assuming that you have 2 slides and 2 Smart beds, if you have more than that, there will be an other manifold behind the water tank on the roof of the bays.

The problem could be a small leak at one of the fittings along the SmartBed hydraulic loop. The SBs have an out and a back hose from the manifold, and fittings at the hydraulic ram below the bed. The ram and its fittings are accessed by removing the plastic strip cover that sets just above the ram on the floor of the basement; you can see it w/the bed fully extended. Other fittings occur at the HWH manifold behind FR tire (and behind the water tank if you have more than 2 SBs).
