Has anyone upgraded to Sleep Number Super Queen mattress in 36 footer. Super Queen is 6 inches wider and would be perfect if possible. Looks like it would require some minor mods to end table cabinets and headboard area. Any ideas????? This would cut down walking area around bed by 3 inches each side and 2 inches at foot of bed. Our 36 footer is perfect size for the places we go......if we were able to get in larger bed the MH would be really super.

Yes! We upgraded to a full Queen, Sleep by Number last year. We have a 40' Alpine Avalanch
and this was the best investment bar none. As far as the super queen, it would not have fit
our size. We found no mods were necessary when
placed in our coach. Do your home work, make sure the size fits your needs. Great investment. Good to see and meet you guys.
Good luck.

Hello Mike:

Donna and I replaced our queen mattress with a sleep number several years ago and enjoy it we are glad that we did it. Their is no way a Super Queen would fit in our 01, 38ft.

Is the Super Queen longer than 80"? "Lose 2" at the foot!?" - or is your present bed 78" long?
When you buy an Class A - what you are really buying is an Bedroom! Why not be as comfortable as possible?
A regular queen is just to uncomfortable for us! That extra 6" makes ALL the Difference!!
When our custom ordered coach from WRV was delivered - it had a Simmons Pillow Top Olympic Queen Bed = It is extremely comfortable and had adequate ROOM!!!!
I would NOT even think of a Sleep Number Bed - had bad experiences with "gimic" beds like water beds in the past.
Your best bet is to try out (in a show room) a Sleep Comfort then a Simmons Pillow Top - then you will truly know what works best for you!

Remember to deflate the air matress before heading over a high mountain pass. Especially if somebody is taking a nap on it at the time, or they may have an awakening experience.

Rick.....Our present bed is standard Queen 60X80. The 2" gain at the foot of bed is because headboard area is recessed about 2"s. To get Super queen 66X80 in it would have to be flush with back wall and could not go in recessed area. Hope that explains it better.
