Bedroom Slide Radio

The radio (Kenwood) in the bedroom slide is not picking up AM radio stations like the front radio. I get mostly static. Does anyone know how the radio antenna is wired?

The battery compartment fire may have destroyed any antenna wiring in which case I'll need to return it to the dealer for resolution.

I appreciate any information you can provide.

If you look inside the slide [thru the doors at bottom or take out the drawers on the right side], you see what looks like a cheap car antenna stuck on its side--that is your antenna for the back radio in the 03s--guess it could have become disconnected but its not very good to begin with--except for static....

Thanks Old Scout!

The dealer has worked on the bedroom slide to repair the floor so they may have disconnected it or even forgot to put it back.

I'll check on it tomorrow.

My bet is that the antenna is connected and a piece of junk, JUST LIKE MINE!

Yep, Dumb Antenna

You're or so right Takepride! I pulled the bottom drawer out to find what looks like a car antenna laying on its side and tied to other cables. Real clever!? The FM works good so I guess that'll have to do.
