Joining the ACA, and for Patty and I, So cal too has helped us with ownership of our Alpine many times. I just want to send out a thank you to Dave Fernandez for his help a couple of Sundays ago .

We were stuck at Eastman Lake with the jacks failing to retract. I messed around with electrical wiring for two hours under the coach in the rain . We had given up and were leaving the coach at the campground , driving the toad home . I'd be back later. As a last thought, I tried Dave. Here were his exact instructions. "Get a 5/8 or 3/4 wrench , loosen the nut on top of the HWH manifold, and press the store button." Dang, it was that easy. Why didn't I call him first . It was a bad shuttle valve.

I have to admit it, Patty suggested a call to Dave

There is a wealth of knowlege amongst the Alpine owners. We are glad to get to meet friends through the clubs. It is nice to know we have help out there when we need it!!

Thanks All

Tom, I couldn't agree more! We were at a SoCal rally a while back, and wanted to put our gen slide out for some reason, and it would not move. Sure enough, someone there (probably Dave) knew exactly what the problem was...a bolt had come out of one of the arms.

Then, we're in Charlotte, parked in the field at the FMCA rally, when the same thing happened to another Alpiner. John was right down there with the solution. It's even greater to be able to pass on something that you have learned!

Thanks for putting this in the Forum!

Gail
