Bilstein Shocks

I need to replace the shocks on my 2005 34 ft. Alpine. I would like to replace with the Bilsteins that came with the coach. Does any one know the Bilstein number? - I have the Koni numbers but don't really want to spend that much money. Thanks -- Tom

I bought the Bilsteins and am very pleased. I did a lot of research and based my decision on the side by side comparison that has been quoted many times on this site. Happy Motoring.

Tom, while the people responding above are well intentioned, they do NOT have Alpines. Many people have made the switch on THEIR Alpines, including me, and have been, and still are satisfied. Please READ through the past posts, there have been many of them regarding Koni 88's vs Bilstiens from people that have had both on Alpines and more recently the new Koni 99's, then make your own decisions

Call Source Engineering in Eugene Oregon 541-343-0293 for the Bilstein shocks. Have had them on the front and so far have been great. Will not go back to Koni after the shocks they sold us earlier didn't make 5k miles. The new Bilsteins have the larger shafts and are designed for Alpines.

That's interesting to hear as I called Source last fall and they said they didn't have the Bilsteins specifically tuned for Alpines. Good if they do now. Too late for me as I now have the Koni 99s.

Bilstein:
F4-B46-2092-M1
302 02000265

F4-B46-2093-M1
401 0200264

Numbers taken off my shocks I removed a few years ago. Don't know which is front and rear.

You should be able to contact Bilstein and get new part numbers (these are outdated) and identify which is front and rear...heavier duty one on rear since there is only one shock per wheel.

try calling them today...gas charge shocks are the best,,.. keeps the oil from foaming and are more responsive...
