Black Tank Repair Sanity Check

Hello. I'm looking for a second opinion before starting repairs on a black tank leak. The pipe that connects into the blank tank from the toilet is seeping. Is the pipe that connects into the black tank threaded or pressed on and glued on? I've included a picture. Thanks.

When mine started leaking I opted for the putty fix. Mixed the grey and black together and went around the entire circumference with putty. It took 3 packages of the putty but it is holding and no leaks for the last 18 months. When I was first inspecting, I took off what looked like about a 4-inch high and 12-inch long piece of flexible putty that had been used to "seal" the pipe into the tank. Where the pipe and tank meet, the pipe met the tank with about a 1/4 inch gap that was about 1-inch long. The original connection with the flexible putty had worked for about 15 years.
