It seems like there many people that make a Rycon-46 type product. After a bit of research I found that there are many that have the same specs so you need not get it from Chevron. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Jerry; What other fluids have you found ? Thanks, Harold

I am finally getting around to changing my PB hydraulic oil. In researching the web, I find that there is a difference in Chevron Rykon Premium 46 and Chevron Rykon 46 AW.

Rykon Premium

Rykon oil

For 40' coach, I presume that I will need more than 5 gal and plan to order 2 five gal pails.

When I asked the supplier about getting some Rykon Premium MV for use in the HWH system, I was told he could only get it in 55 gal drums. Does anyone know where to get some in gallons or quarts?

I found mine in 5gal pails using an internet search in my area. Turned out there was an oil distributor in my area that would sell to the public.

Mike, I have on 08 34'er and was wondering what your label on the reservoir said. Did you change to Rycor? I guess the cost is not an issue when we want the rig to stop. my pedal is pretty hard. Mel

Mel- Mine was an early build, before they installed the hydraulic oil bypass as standard equip. So mine had the bypass installed as a sort of recall, and the fluid drained & refilled during recall; used the Valvoline Blue motor oil WRV was using as standard. When I change it I will go to Rykon.

I will also add a reservoir drain line at that time. Right now the drain plug will empty oil all over the metal pan piece above the cataclysmic converter/particulate filter (and what a fine mess that will make Olly).
