As I reported earlier, we have had a bucking problem when cresting a hill while driving with Cruise Control engaged. After several stops at Cummins, and calls to WRV we were told in Anchorage that Cummins had a patch that would be ready by the end of September. We are at Coach Care Denver and they downloaded the patch to the ECM, and we now have a functioning CC.

Thanks to all who made suggestions,

Sully

Sully - What is your fuel mileage running now & how many miles do you have on the Apex now?

Swans,

We have almost 11,000 miles on the Apex. Through Alaska we got about 6.8, and most recently 7.1.
I am interested in seeing if the ECM update adds or subtracts from that milage.

Would you believe I get 12 MPG on our Apex? Ok, would you believe 7.2 MPG after 11, 800 miles? I once met an old man in San Antonio who claimed he got 12 MPG out of a 40' Holiday Rambler Naviagator. I said that was remarkable for BS. Said he was a retored Mavy test pilot and from that he knew how to drive to get that kind of milage.. I actually do have some swamp land in Mississippi.

Sully -

Do you have any info on the ECM-patch, such as a name, number, or anything? I tried a local Cummins facility and got the expected "Huh?" response. Looks like I'll have to h'ep them with my problems again.

TIA,
Ron

Ron,

Sorry but I don't know the #, but if you call Cummins in Yakima they have the info.

Bob, after putting on 5000 miles since the update I can report that my milage is up from 6.3 to 7.1 on the overall. On the last 5,000 miles, the milage had been 7.7 while keeping the cruise control set at 63mph.
