Build Date of your Alpine

On my 2008 rig I have a sticker on the front side of firewall (visible w/gen-slide out), DS, that shows a "build date" of 08/07.

Do older coaches all have this? I'm wondering at what point this became standard practice. Thanks for chiming in w/your $.02

Great. Now hoping that extends back to coaches w/1990's build dates.

After some negotiation, the manufacturer of wire looms for coaches up to maybe the end of the 2003 model year, willed to ACA copies of the wire loom diagrams. These are even more useful than the paper schematics, although each has its place in tracing out circuits. I'm trying to figure out how a coach owner or tech would make use of the data to isolate the particular diagrams (out of 208 files I read & renamed) that apply to the coach in question. That born-on date would be a good entry point, as the diagrams are marked with their "received" from WRV data implying mfgr of looms off that print started shortly after that, with the born-on date following loom purchase by maybe 5 months (my swag, YMMV).

I don't know how you're finding this, but it's a treasure for all Alpine owners. Thanks EM.

Mike, our '99 has it, if I remember right our "born on date" is 11/98. Coach is in winter storage so I can't check for sure. I do know for sure the data is on the plate behind the generator slide on the driver's side with the other information.

So model year makes no difference.
In order to relate which of the 208 loom diagrams were used for the coach in question, I'm guessing subtract 3 months for production, then swag another month for ordering/producing/shipping looms, then another month for putting the loom standard into production. Say born-on-date minus 5 months & that's the assumed current loom drawings to pick.

Whadaya think?

I don't know how long it took from wiring the chassis etc. to complete the build but the convection oven I have has a DOM of 2/98. As my build date is 4/98 it seems they did not hold much stock. Might be that the build date is when they started assembly rather than when they completed it.

My build date is 8/07 & we first toured the coach in Aug 07. So I'm guessing its the roll out month.
With a micro that's 2 months younger than the roll out date, they'da been building the house in that period, so that makes sense that the micro was spanking new. The chassis had to come nicely before that.
