We have a high frequency "buzz" that occurs in our Advantium oven on our '06 when we are doing two things; 1)preheating the oven in oven bake mode, and 2) using the oven in speedcook mode after it starts to get warm.

It seems the buzzing goes on when the oven starts to get warm and stays that way most of the time until the food is finished cooking.

Do others with the Advantium oven have that issue or is this unique to our oven? Thought I would ask in case I need some work done while it's still on warranty.

As far as I can tell, we have had no high frequency noises from our advantium since installing it 2 years ago.

Just a follow up on this -- I took the coach to the dealer and he determined it was due to a fan blade striking metal at the top of the oven. The fan comes on when the oven reaches preheat temperature. He adjusted the fan blade to stop the high-pitched buzz. It was actually more of a "schrill" sound.

A little more input on this. When the dealer removed the oven, he found the high temp fan was actually directing air up to the roof of the coach when it should have been directing it out the front grille. He relocated the fan to the correct position facing the front and the issue went away.

Hi OldForester

When the Advantium ovens are new out of the box they have the exhaust fan mounted in the exhaust up position. It states in the instructions that if you want the fan directed out the front you need to make an adjustment to the blower motor.

Whoever installed the Advantium oven may have overlooked that part of the instructions. Glad it all worked out for you.

take care,
dan

Dan,

Thanks for the tip from the instructions. I didn't know they came with the fan directed up. I had the Advantium installed at the factory when the coach was new, replacing the microwave it came with. So the people at the factory who replaced it must not be the people who normally install Advantiums.
