No problem Tom.
Some say I've been in need of help all my life.

Keep safe.

I was just looking at a picture of the Alpine Drags. The speed at the end of the quarter was 55.95 mph, not 64.

In that case it could possibly still be valid.

Here is the list of units recalled. I have the papers to help identify the calipers too!

My coach is in this list and I need to ID the calipers if you still have the papers. So if you could send them to me. tillbuitl@comcast.net

Upon inspection both hub oil sights got so hot that they are leaking and the ABS sensors are melted so bad that they have fallen out of the calipers.

Meritor will not cover this recall and I need to get in touch w/ Bosch but do not have a phone number. If anyone has a # for Bosch I could use that.

Ok, here is the scoop on the caliper recall:

After long talks w/ Meritor, Bosch, and local dealers, the recall was between Bosch and Western RV. When Western RV closed the doors the recall was settled between them and Bosch.

What that means for us is that we are left holding the bag.

The good news is that when I called my local heavy duty truck parts house they took the casting # of 4153222 off the back of my caliper and told me that they have a Bendix replacement for $99.

The other issue I have now is the melted ABS sensors that he told me I could bring in and he was very confident that they could match up.

I have come to the conclusion that heavy duty parts are more of a bring it in and match it up, than look up the model of the coach or even the make and model of the front steer axle.

In all of the research I have done I feel that the recall is null and void now that Western RV is out of the picture.

I know that Acacia RV and Performance, 909-824-9674, as well as Redlands Truck & RV Performance Center 888-249-0124, both have a source for the ABS sensors and the Calibers/Rotors.

I was also told that Colton Truck Terminal Garage Inc, (909) 825-4080 also has them.
